Sr. Software Test Engineer – SDP

Your Career

  • Create, maintain, and execute test plans, the scope of which will encompass all functionality of services to as a prequel to automation. Increasing quality and test coverage
  • Understand & review product requirement documents & design documents. Work closely with the Software Engineering team during product development in a fast paced agile-driven environment.
  • Develop new test methodologies or processes, re-evaluate existing processes & measure quality of product/s.
  • Maintain test beds to support recreating customer scenarios for handling escalations.
  • Troubleshoot, debug customer-reported issues in a timely manner when necessary.
  • Assist in identifying and scoping testing efforts for new features & regression, updating status & tracking tasks.
  • Work closely with rest of the QA to ensure top-notch product quality
  • Work with cross functional teams to build manual/automated test suites.

Your Experience

  • BS/BE/B-Tech or MS/ME/M-Tech degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Electronics
  • 5 to 8 years of manual and automation test experience as a QA Engineer,
  • Expertise in scripting languages: Perl, Python or Shell Scripting in open systems.
  • Experience with automation test framework/tools like Selenium Web-driver, Selenium IDE, etc.
  • Good understanding of RESTFUL APIs. Experience writing API tests is a plus.
  • Experience using Security Analysis tools like Burp Suite, ZenMap/NMAP, Nessus, etc
  • Good understanding of Networking topologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, RIP, SNMP, ICMP, Active Directory/LDAP, RADIUS, SMTP etc
  • Hands on experience in Authentication & Authorization protocols viz., Active Directory, SAML, LDAP , Applications viz., Citrix , VMware, HyperV
  • Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) and build systems such as Jenkins or Git/bamboo.
  • Experience with Cloud deployment infrastructures like AWS, Azure
  • Familiarity with Docker deployment technologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills, troubleshooting/debugging skills, problem diagnosis, creative problem solving and a good eye for detail
  • Excellent collaboration and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to be flexible and productive in a fast-paced, agile driven environment with geographically-distributed teams
  • Have a good positive outlook and always willing to challenge themselves in their day to day undertaking.
